Fermentation Method of Chicken Manure Organic Fertilizer
Release time:2025-12-22 Views:7 Sources:Tai an Hongxin Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd

Fresh chicken manure must be fully fermented and decomposed before it can be used. Fully decomposed chicken manure is an excellent organic fertilizer. Fresh chicken manure needs to be thoroughly fermented and decomposed before application. The parasites and their eggs in chicken manure, along with certain pathogenic bacteria, are inactivated and deodorized through the decomposition process. Common fermentation methods include natural fermentation and biological fermentation

1. Natural Fermentation

Pile fresh chicken manure into a mound, maintaining a moisture level of 60-65%, then cover it with agricultural film or plastic sheeting. When the temperature rises to 70°C, turn the pile and add water, then re-stack. Once the temperature drops to room temperature and no odor is present, the fermentation is complete. If the amount of chicken manure is small, fillers such as fresh weeds or crop straw can be used. Compact a layer of grass and chicken manure, then cover with agricultural film for fermentation. After 7-10 days, turn the pile and ferment again. Alternatively, add wood ash, mix thoroughly, and stack for fermentation for 5-7 days.

2. Biological Bacterial Fermentation

Add Bacillus subtilis to fresh chicken manure and mix thoroughly to achieve rapid fermentation, which typically takes about 10 days. Fermentation should be conducted in a rainproof greenhouse or under a plastic film cover to prevent rain erosion and nutrient loss. Biological fermentation not only saves time but also eliminates bacteria in the fertilizer, featuring high nutrient content and a long-lasting effect.

2. Is chicken manure an organic fertilizer?

1. Chicken manure is a type of organic fertilizer. Research indicates that it contains higher organic matter than other manures, along with medium and trace elements, beneficial bioactive bacteria, and various enzymes essential for plant growth. When decomposed, it serves as an excellent organic fertilizer, suitable for grapes, watermelons, fruit trees, and vegetables.

2. Organic fertilizer, also known as farmyard manure, primarily originates from plants or animals. It is processed from biomass, animal and plant waste, and plant residues, including human excrement, stable manure, compost, green manure, seedcake, biogas slurry, and mud manure.
