What are the core functions of a compost turner?
Release time:2025-10-16 Views:15 Sources:Tai an Hongxin Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd

The fertilizer turning machine is a core piece of equipment in organic fertilizer production, primarily used for turning, aeration, and mixing compost materials to accelerate organic matter decomposition while regulating the temperature and moisture of the compost pile.

Oxygenation fermentation: By performing turning and mixing actions, air is introduced into the interior of the pile, providing sufficient oxygen for aerobic microbial fermentation and preventing anaerobic decay of materials that could lead to unpleasant odors.

Regulating temperature and humidity: Piling allows the mixing of high-temperature zones inside the pile with low-temperature zones outside, maintaining the composting temperature within the range of 55-65°C. It also evaporates excess moisture, keeping the material at an appropriate humidity level (50%-60%).

Homogenization and composting: Repeated turning ensures more uniform mixing of materials, allowing all components to fully contact microorganisms and oxygen, thus preventing incomplete decomposition in localized areas.

Breaking up lumps: During the turning process, it can crush material lumps, improve air permeability, and provide qualified raw materials for subsequent processes such as granulation.
