Precautions During the Organic Fertilizer Fermentation Process

1. Fermentation raw material requirements:

The fermentation raw materials (such as agricultural waste like manure) are relatively fresh and have not undergone natural composting.

 2. Auxiliary Material Requirements:

The moisture content of fermentation adjuncts (such as straw, rice husk, etc.) should be moderate, with strong water absorption, appropriate particle size or length, and not overly large. The dosage should be determined based on the moisture level of the fermentation raw materials.

 3. The bacterial culture must be evenly distributed

For fermenting one ton of raw material with organic fertilizer fermentation strains, 50 grams (equivalent to 1 jin) are required. Since it is difficult to distribute the strains evenly on the fermentation material, it is recommended to first mix the 50 grams of strains with 500 grams (1 jin) of any raw material such as wheat bran, wood chips, oilcake, or rice bran, stir thoroughly, and then spread it over the fermentation material before mixing again and stacking for fermentation.

 4. Fermentation moisture regulation is optimal:

The moisture adjustment of raw and auxiliary materials is crucial, as it determines the success or failure of fermentation. The moisture requirement is: after thoroughly mixing the raw and auxiliary materials, they should form a cohesive mass that splits into two parts when dropped on the ground. The general addition ratio of auxiliary materials (such as straw, rice husk, etc.) is 10% to 30% (by weight relative to the raw materials). If calculated by volume ratio, it is typically 2 parts raw materials to 1 part auxiliary materials.

 5. The length, width, and height of the fermentation stack must meet the standards

The fermented material must have a width of no less than 1.5 meters, a height of no less than 1 meter, and an unlimited length.
