Release time:2026-09-03 Views:60 Sources:Tai an Hongxin Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd

Drum granulator and roller press granulator are both granulation equipment used to compress powdered or granular raw materials into granules. They have different applications and advantages and disadvantages in industrial production.

Drum granulator:

Working principle: The rotary drum granulator mainly rolls the raw materials inside through a rotating cylinder (rotary drum), gradually forming particles.

Advantages:

Suitable for granulation of powdered and granular raw materials.

Suitable for materials that are difficult to pelletize, such as those with high viscosity.

After granulation, the particles are uniform.

Disadvantages:

High energy consumption.

The granulation speed is relatively slow.

For some fragile materials, a large amount of fine powder may be generated.

Roll granulation machine:

Working principle: The roller press granulator uses one or more pairs of rollers to squeeze the raw material, forming flakes or particles between the rollers.

Advantages:

The granulation speed is relatively fast.

Relatively low energy consumption.

It can control the size and density of particles.

Suitable for large-scale production.

Disadvantages:

For some materials with high viscosity, there may be issues with roller adhesion.

Some materials may require pre-treatment to ensure the rolling effect.

It may not be suitable for some materials that are difficult to pelletize.

The selection of suitable granulation equipment depends on the properties of the raw materials, the characteristics of the required particles, and production requirements. Each device has its applicable scenarios, and suitable processes and equipment should be selected according to actual needs.
